Microsoft Dynamic F&O Senior Technical Architect

The Senior F&O Technical Architect will be responsible for the overall technical architecture of the solution that includes high- and low-level designs, data modeling, data integration, data migration, tool configuration and customizations. This role will perform a wide variety of functions within the company and for customers, requiring a high degree of technical expertise. These functions would include: Dynamics installations and configuration, hardware sizing, performance tuning, upgrade assessments, design environments, development, technical health checks, and more.

General Responsibilities:

Experience installing and configuring Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, including multiple environments with Citrix, VMware, and/or Azure.
Technical support incidents and integration work for responsibilities.
Collaborate with customers and Team Members alike through design and implementation, including needs, analysis and system requirements.
Leading technical design and architecture sessions with clients and project team to gather and document project requirements for integrations, migrations, reporting and customizations.
Advising clients on best practices for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) development, integration, and migration processes.
Work with IT Partners of clients to design, configure, test, and deploy changes considering their security, performance, and scalability requirements.
Focus on the evaluation, design, customization, and optimization of Digital and Cloud based solutions.
Writing technical specifications for planned work and estimating effort required.
Writing work orders while attaching the technical specs for offshore development team, facilitating the completion, testing, and deployment of the developed work.
Assisting with technical pre-sales efforts as needed.
Providing technical oversight across multiple projects.
Leading development efforts that may involve multiple internal, client and third-part resources.
Build POCs to analyze ambiguous technical customer situations and to determine appropriate solutions as necessary.
Provide mentoring and leadership to less experienced developers in projects as needed.
Perform code reviews and ensure best practices are being adhered to by development team on engagements.

Requirements:

5+ years of software development experience
5-7 years leading Microsoft Dynamics F&O implementations in an architect role.
Worked on multiple successful implementations.
Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
Dynamics AX Development certification preferred.
Dynamics AX functional training and/or certifications a plus
Excellent Verbal and Written Communications
Exceptional Problem-solving skills
Ability to present to technical, non-technical and executive level individuals.

Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge of Dynamics AX AOT, Morph X and X++
Ability to conduct performance tuning on Microsoft Dynamics AX using X++ and SQL.
Ability to understand security setup with AX.
Enough understanding of the hardware requirements of Microsoft Dynamics AX to perform hardware sizing.
Understand the functional and technical differences between different versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX to perform upgrade assessments.
Experience with SQL Server preferably with some knowledge of SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS
Understanding of some of the more complex technical topics in Dynamics AX including: Application Integration Framework (AIF), Workflow, Enterprise Portal, Data Import, Reporting – MorphX, and version control
