Why start here

Before signing an implementation SOW, you need more than a requirements list—you need alignment.

This 30-day assessment is designed to deliver:

  • Executive clarity on scope, priorities, and decision-making

  • Budget transparency with realistic investment ranges tied to your complexity

  • Operational alignment across Finance, Supply Chain/Operations, and IT

Because the biggest project risks aren’t technical—they’re misalignment risks:

  • Timeline vs. organizational capacity

  • Strategy vs. execution

  • Data readiness vs. go-live expectations

  • Standardization vs. customization decisions

What You'll Receive

Every assessment concludes with a comprehensive Dynamics 365 implementation blueprint that is yours to keep, regardless of which partner you choose to implement with.

The road from the vision of a unified Dynamics 365 experience to reality with Western Computer.

4 stars

When we first engaged with Western Computer, we shared with them our vision to embrace the full Dynamics 365 experience and leverage the out-of-the-box integrations between F&SCM and CE to re-implement our business processes and Western did not blink. They made us feel that they could carry us through this very complex transition and, now that we are halfway through it, I now can say they are more than just talk. They have been an amazing partner in this journey and, with their help, we know we will get where we need to go and go live on Dynamics 365.

Great Service and Expertise

5 stars

Western Computer has helped us address critical business challenges, primarily by streamlining our ERP systems. Before working with them, we had struggled with inefficient processes in supply chain management and inventory control, which slowed down our operations. The post-implementation support also has been outstanding, helping us continuously optimize the system as our needs evolve.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does the F&SCM assessment take?

The full assessment runs approximately 30 days: a remote preparation phase, a 1 to 4 day onsite based on your operational complexity, and a deliverables presentation 2 weeks after the onsite. The Finance-focused tier requires 1 day onsite. Distribution requires 2. Manufacturing requires 4.

  • How much does the F&SCM assessment cost?

Three tiers based on your scope: Finance Focus starts at $15,000 plus travel expenses for 1 day onsite. Distribution Focus starts at $30,000 plus travel for 2 days onsite. Manufacturing Focus starts at $45,000 plus travel for 4 days onsite. Final pricing may vary based on the number of departments and integration complexity. If you move forward with WC for implementation within 30 days, 50% of the fee is credited back.

  • Do I have to use Western Computer for implementation after the assessment?

No. The blueprint we deliver belongs to your organization regardless of which partner you choose for implementation. If you decide to work with a different partner, you keep the fit-gap analysis, roadmap, budget estimate, data health scorecard, and steering committee charter. There is no lock-in.

  • What do I receive at the end of the assessment?

Five deliverables: a high-level fit-gap analysis (traffic light report: standard vs. ISV vs. custom), a phased implementation roadmap, a t-shirt sized budget estimate, a data health scorecard (red/yellow/green legacy data assessment), and a steering committee charter with governance framework and decision rights.

  • Who should be involved from our side during the assessment?

We work with departmental leads from Finance, Warehouse or Supply Chain, and Production or Operations during the preparation phase. The onsite includes process deep-dives with your super users and a governance workshop with your leadership team. IT is involved in the tech stack audit and integration mapping.

  • What is a "T-shirt sized budget estimate"?

A T-shirt sized estimate gives you a realistic investment range based on effort complexity: small, medium, or large for each workstream. It is not a fixed-price quote, but it gives your leadership team a credible range to plan around before you are asked to sign anything.

  • How is this different from a standard ERP demo or discovery call?

A demo shows you what the software can do. A discovery call collects requirements. This assessment goes deeper: it maps your actual workflows, checks your legacy data health, surfaces the customizations that will cost you money, and tests whether our team is the right fit for your operation. You walk away with documentation your implementation partner can be held accountable to.

  • Does the assessment work for companies already on Dynamics AX or NAV?

Yes. Many of our assessments serve companies moving from Dynamics AX to F&SCM or evaluating an upgrade path. The assessment process adapts to your current system and documents the migration complexity as part of the fit-gap analysis.
