How it works
The Shop Floor Control app is powerful, but the basic process is simple: employees scan their barcode and the job traveler barcode at the start of the task. Then they scan again at the completion of the task. The scanning can be accomplished using workstations, tablets, name badges, or other devices. 365ShopFloor also allows you to simultaneously track time for a single resource across multiple jobs.
From there, the system tracks the time and resource in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Production Journal. You can choose whether the information is sent to a manager for review and approval first, or if the data goes directly to the production journal. Either way, you get real-time insight into your complete production costs.
