In this video, we explore the challenge of analyzing business processes within customer engagement applications, such as sales, customer service, or field service. We focus on business process flows (BPFs) and how the lack of out-of-the-box functionality to record stage duration can hinder analysis. Using examples of BPFs for resolving a case and closing an opportunity, we demonstrate a solution by creating a separate table called the "Stage Duration Table." This table includes reports, views, and charts essential for effective analysis. Additionally, we implement a workflow that automatically generates stage duration records connected to the original case or opportunity. With the stage duration records in place, we delve into the demo database to showcase how the analysis works. We explore a list of sales stage duration for opportunities and discuss filtering options based on user, territory, or product category. Furthermore, we examine a particular opportunity's sales stage duration, allowing us to identify bottlenecks or areas for improvement.
